Eddie and Val, once inseparable best friends, have spent years looking back on their time together with fondness and nostalgia after Val moved away due to her parents' work. Now 27, Val has grown into a more open-minded, ambitious person. Eddie, on the other hand, has stayed in the same neighborhood, doing the same things they used to do. As the film cuts between their memories of each other, they fondly recall their friendship and the way things were back then. When they finally reunite however, the clear differences in their lives now create a distance, which shows us how time and circumstances can reshape even the strongest connections.
